Rules for Admission - 2017
Basic Information regarding Admission in B.A / B.Sc. Honours (Core) and Programme (General Courses) in the Session 2017-18 under Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) and in semester pattern :-
1. Students belonging to any Category, seeking admission in B.A / B.Sc Honours shall have to have at least 45% marks in aggregate in 10+2 examination, Passed from a valid board as per the approved list of West Bengal Council for Higher Secondary Education and/or Bankura University.
2. Students seeking admission in programme (General) courses shall have to get the pass marks only at 10+2 examination
3. Only students who have passed with Mathematics is one of the subjects at 10+2 level are eligible for admission to B.Sc Honours Course in Economics.
4. Students who have passed the vocational course at 10+2 level, are eligible for admission to B.A (General) course only.
5. In case of equal marks in H.S result total marks / percentage of marks of immediately preceding examination (vig. Madhyamik) is to be taken into ranking.
6. For admission to the Under Graduate Course there should not be a gap of more than 3 years between the year of Higher Secondary Examination and the year of admission to Under Graduate Course of Study. In respect of calculation of marks for admission to Under Graduate Course a deduction of 1% percent per year from the marks of H.S aggregate would be made in case of candidates passing out in previous years, i.e. 1% for the student passing during 2016, 2% for 2015 and 3% for 2014.
7. Intake capacity of the students are given in a separate sheet.
8. In case of non availability of students belonging to reserved categories, the reserved seats may be converted to the general category with prior permission of BCW department, Government of West Bengal.
9. Admission and other Fees: Given in a separate sheet.
10. Admission will be conducted strictly adhering to the rules and guide lines framed by department of Higher Education, Government of West Bengal and that of Bankura University.
11. Dates of Registration and admission will be notified through the college website.
