Bankura Zilla Saradamani Mahila Mahavidyapith is the lead college of the district where the departments of Bengali, English, Sanskrit, Geography, History, Political Science, Philosophy, Economics, Education, Music, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Sociology(G), Physical Education(G) have been set up at present.

The main college campus consists of the following buildings:
The Main Building: Principal’s Office (ground floor), English, History, Philosophy, Mathematics (first floor) and Geography Departments (Ground floor), Teachers’ Common Room  - cum - Conference Hall (ground floor), Library (1st floor). In the main campus, the college has two separate Hostel buildings.

This college is known for its discipline and regularity of teachers in taking their classes. The result of these departments in the university and the other competitive examinations especially in the College and School Service Commissions attracts students from various corners, not only from this district but also from other remote parts of the state, and beyond the borders of West Bengal. In different Honours Final Examinations of the University of Bankura, our students have obtained high grades and distinctions.
