SANSKRIT DEPARTMENT
Department of Sanskrit started in the year 1973, which was also the foundation year of the college. This Department has shown its consistency in maintaining its academic excellence every year right from the beginning. This is possible due to the dedication of the faculty members and sincerity of students. In the year 2003 , the Honours course of Sanskrit Dept. was introduced. Every year approximately 300 students (Honours General) come out of this college with remarkable result. The number is increasing day by day due to the increasing rage of Sanskrit. On an average the result of this department is best amongst the other departments of the College with more than 50% students securing above 60% marks and pass rate having 99%(approx).
This college is known for its discipline and regularity of teachers in taking their classes. Sanskrit Dept. also has the same reputation. In addition to the academic excellence of the students, we encourage them to take part in different activities of the college and for building up character and career. Our Students activity participate in different extra curricular activities like singing , dancing etc. and also take part in different competitions held both on and off campus.
For building up personality of individual student, they are given opportunity to cultivate innovative ideas through departmental magazine exhibition wall magazine and quiz. Besides this dept. has conducted departmental seminar and even a 2 day National level Seminar. The students also give feed back to our hard work either by opting for higher studies or landing up with some well paid jobs.
