The Department of Political Science is a part of the glorious heritage of Bankura Zilla Saradamani Mahila Mahavidyapith. SEMINAR TALK ON RELEVANCE OF DEMOCRACY on 23.09.2017.

“A SPECIAL SEMINAR TALK ON RELEVANCE OF DEMOCRACY IN THE PRESENT DAY SCENARIO: PROCEDURAL AND SUBSTANTIVE” ORGANISED BY DEPARTMENT OF POLITICAL SCIENCE 

A Special Seminar Talk on Relevance of Democracy in the Present Day Scenario: Procedural and Substantive was organized by the Department of Political Science, Bankura Zilla Saradamani Mahila Mahavidyapith, on 23.09.2017. The speaker of this lecture was Dr. Kaushik Ghosh, Assistant Professor, Bankura University. He demonstrated various dimensions and significance of procedural and substantive democracy to the students which had been introduced in UG Semester-I (Hons.) syllabus of Bankura University. Further, the program ended with a great success.

WORKSHOP ON DEMOCRATIC AWARENESS WITH LEGAL LITERACY, DATED ON 26.03.2019

A Workshop on Democratic Awareness with Legal Literacy was organised by the Department of Political Science, Bankura Zilla Saradamani Mahila Mahavidyapith, on 26th March, 2019. The honourable speakers of this events were Dr. Sibranjan Chatterjee, Ex-I.C, West Bengal State University, Barasat and Dr. Subir Kumar Roy, Associate Professor & HOD, Department of Law, Bankura University. The Purpose of this workshop was to discuss on Skill Enhancement Course which had been introduced in UG Semester-IV syllabus. The workshop ended with a great success. 

  

 

UG SEM-I (HONS.) STUDENTS’ SEMINAR BY POLITICAL SCIENCE DEPT.

A students’ seminar was organized by the Department of Political Science at Bankura Zilla Saradamani Mahila Mahavidyapith on 14.09.2017. The participants of the seminar were the students of UG Semester-I (Hons.). The objectives of this program were to maximize the students’ engagement in this course and teach them how to apply their own perspectives in analyzing subject-matters. The program ended with a great success.

STUDENTS’ SEMINAR ON ‘CAPITAL PUNISHMENT’ 16TH-17TH APRIL, 2019

A Students' seminar has been conducted by the Department of Political Science on 'Capital Punishment' on 16th-17th April, 2019. The participants of the seminar were the students of UG Semester-II (Hons.). The purpose of the seminar was to enable the students to represent their own ideas to their classmates and teachers. This practice would help them to state their own views before a crowd in future without difficulty. The program ended with a great success.
